Tim Lesher
Executive Director
Tim is an Oklahoma native. He came to The Canby Center after serving in Phoenix, Arizona at the Rio Vista Center for 7 years. As the Executive Director, he managed the day-to-day activities, coordinated volunteer efforts, and brought awareness to the issue of poverty in South Phoenix. Additionally, he served as the Associate Pastor at The Bridge Church where he oversaw the partnership with the Rio Vista Center, volunteers, and finances. He was actively involved in the community as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Interfaith Council of Arizona, the Nurse Family Partnership Community Advisory Board, and the Department of Economic Security Hunger Council. Prior to Rio Vista Center, he spent 4 years as Associate Pastor at Discovery Pointe Church in Peoria, Arizona where he directed foreign and local service projects, shared teaching duties, and led the youth ministry.
Darin Sanchez
Program Manager
Darin was a missionary kid, raised along the Amazon River in northern Brazil. After graduating from University of the Pacific with a BA in 1983, she lived in Honduras, Central America for 2 years, working as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where she became fluent in Spanish. Darin has lived in Oregon for the last 22 years and has worked for the Migrant Education Program, Head Start and Metropolitan Family Services before joining The
Canby Center in Sept. 2009.
KELLEY VANACKER
Volunteer Coordinator
Kelley is a "born and raised"
Oregonian and has lived in the
Canby area for the better part of her adult life with her husband of 27 years and their two children. Growing up, Kelley was raised in a Christian home and attended Boise Bible College after high school, but left the church and the Lord as a young woman. Thirteen years ago, she recommitted her life to Jesus and desired to live a life of serving others which put her on the path that eventually led to joining The
Canby Center staff in January of 2011. She and her husband are also privileged to be on staff at
Canby Alliance Church as
Woship Leaders.
Linda Rasor
Office Manager
Linda joined The
Canby Center in May of 2009. She is a native
Oregonian and grew up in the area. She originally was hired as our volunteer coordinator and worked in that position for a year and a half before God opened a door for her to become our office manager. Linda graduated from George Fox College in 1991 with a business/economic degree. Before having children, Linda worked at In Focus Systems for 3 years managing the inside sales department. She was a stay at home mom for 14 years until she started working at The
Canby Center. She has been married to Kurt for 18 years and they have 4 children. Linda is very involved with her children and enjoys coaching them in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and baseball. Linda enjoys mentoring all of the young lives that she encounters in her coaching positions. The
Rasor family is involved in several different ministries and loves coming a long side those in need.
