Clothing Exchange

Adequate clothing and hygiene are two of the most basic human needs identified which provides an individual with a sense of dignity and self worth.  The Clothing Exchange is a year round program offered in conjunction with the Canby area churches, the Canby community and the Canby School District to families and individuals in our service area, which meets the basic needs for clothing and toiletries.  At the initial visit a family or individual is allowed to shop for all the basics: pants, shirts, shoes, socks, coat, etc.  Clients are encouraged to return to the Clothing Exchange and are permitted to access the resources of the Clothing Exchange every 2 months.  The Clothing Exchange is not a hand-out, but rather a hand-up and to foster a sense of being a contributing member of our Canby community, returning clients are required to donate a supply of clothing to the Clothing Exchange.  Clients are also encouraged to volunteer their time and services in the Clothing Exchange or with other programs at The Canby Center.Being cold should not be a part of growing up
